Homeless in Kalgoorlie-Boulder

This is Boulder Camp where people in Kalgoorlie-Boulder have been living - but yesterday the bulldozers moved in and flattened the only shelters left for our homeless people at Boulder camp -- they gave out a few tents but most people from the camp tonight are sleeping in the open, under trees or any shelter they can find -- and the forecast is for rain for the next few days. The workers who did this say it is to make way for new shelters but that will take some time to build and what about the camp people in the meantime?

What they don't tell you is that they built a new camp before bulldozing the old one.It had all new buildings for about a week and then they got trashed as well.

This was built as a new camp in May. Most of these guys have Government housing but go here to drink. It's not exactly housing for homeless although some of them have trashed their Government housing so often that they had to be evicted.
