and im playing it for my auditions as well lol. i play euphonium but try to mimic the horn sound and sound sound of horn on euphonium is just amazing.

Agree. With practice and attention to tone, the Bb side can sound pleasant. Consider that many professional horn players in Europe play on single Bb horns.

sure the notes might come out a little easier, but you really don't want to sound honky.

Are you joking? The Bb side can be played in tune in any range. The principal horn of the BBC Symphony plays on Bb single.
