I worked for WellPoint, which owns many of the insurance companies you think are competitors, including Blue Cross and Aetna. You cannot regulate them, any more than you can "regulate" a psychopath.
The present bill by Max Baucus will force you to buy their crummy insurance with high deductibles, that will STILL force you into bankruptcy! Without a true public option, we are all screwed. Don't believe me? Let Baucus' bill pass without protest, and see what happens to you when you get sick.

I have called Specter so much we are on a first name basis and we'll be going fishing later this week ;-) Arlen say's he'll bring some cold imports for consumption as we power up and down the Ohio LMFAO.
Seriously, I am not going to let up one iota, he is a vote whore and I will make him realize where the votes ARE!

Maybe the MSM is still trying to get over Kucinich's recognition of "chemtrails" as exotic weapons in HR 2977.
Kucinich isn't a puppet, either.

The mandate-fine without a public option will be disasterous.

We can not stand by and do nothing while some folks try and stand in the way of REAL Health Care Reform. In the comment section of my profile you will find several ways in which you can get more involved including phone numbers, petitions and several other resources to help you get started. Together we can and will make a difference. Take action NOW!

get a president with a backbone, that would sort it. this is a farce and we, in the land of the free (spain), find all this incredulous.

Damn good question. Why was Kucinich marginalized by every single MSM outlet? Even that lovable kook R Paul got more attention than D K did.
Money talks and from the looks of it, the Insurance companies have a voice as big as Mt Krakatoa.

Good point.
For me, there are only a handful of true Democrats:
Kucinich
Grayson
Kaptur
Sanders
There may be a few others but most of our politicians don't serve the people, they serve corporate America.
Its hard to think of a corporation in the US which hasn't leached off the taxpayer.
