Dr. Boyce Watkins of Syracuse University, joins forces with NaS and Color Of Change in protesting the serial-racist network of FOX News. As noted last week, Hip-Hop Emcee, NaS, alongside Color Of Change and Moveon.org, sent a direct message to FOX News, with the presentation of 600,000 box-full of petitions -- signed by disgruntled viewers and concerned citizens. To Watkins, this is just another symbolic step in the ultimate struggle against all forms of degradation, humiliation and devaluation of Black People. Dr. Watkins urges readers and viewers to harness the potency of this moment, and add unto the fight against Rupert Murdoch and his White House-controlled minions. Visit http://yourblackworld.com/, and sign the FOX News petition at: http://colorofchange.org/foxobama/

  • Nas didn't give up his career for anything like Mohammed Ali but what he did was just as commendable, noble, and brave. He uses his power and the vehicle that is his career to spread real messages, create movements and denounce poison being spread by other vehicles. He is a hero in my book for that.

  • The last time Nas tried to sell records was like 1999 when I Am... & Nastradamus came out he hasn't given two shits about selling records since then and you can tell from the material he makes on post Stillmatic albums. He hardly even tries to crossover.

  • Nas is a Street's Disciple; a poetic street corner observer; a prophet of his time and that's all he's ever claimed to be-never a leader of all black people. And another thing is that Nas hasn't tried to sell records in years.

  • Nas never tried to say he's a black leader he actually denounced the entire notion of black leaders on songs before opting instead that individuals should lead themselves "fuck black leaders cuz whites ain't got none leading them" he said on the Nigger album.

  • Who does this nigga think he is saying things like Nas is not a black leader as if there's a "black leader workbook" with rules and regulations that all alleged black leaders must abide by.

  • Did he just say Nas would be smoking "The Ether"???? Cmon bruh, get it right or don't say shit.

  • Barak Obama is not really black though. If he's black, we're all black.

  • SWEET!!!! sorry pal, that's not an insult. chances are, you are a racist yourself.

  • And that comment makes you an even bigger racist than Fox News.

  • @devares2006

well, considering over 95% of the blacks who voted in the last election voted for Communist Obama, I have a pretty good feeling most blacks wouldn't want to be a reporter on FoxNews. and why the hell does it even matter if there are black reporters or not? why do blacks have to be involved with everything? personally, the fewer blacks I see, the happier i am.
