@VerityDemortem The main reason most people feel that way is most likely because this is the last game staring "The Stranger". And the others simply don't have the charm that the older ones do.

Good ol' photo-viewer journal touchpad thing. I think of Revelation as the finale to MYST as well.
Okay off topic but, I'm glad Akira Yamaoka the sound/music director of Silent Hill2 is in the related videos. Two VERY good soundtracks that transport you to their worlds as soon as you hit play.

I honestly consider this game to be the true ending to the Myst series. In myst and its sequels they all had to do with Atrus' sons and the damage they had done so when the ending came (not ruining it) I felt like the series was finally concluded. The fifth game is only an extension of URU which is shown by the lack of live action scenes. But I love this game series no matter what :)

This song makes me cry . . . I cried so hard at the end of this game. Beautiful ending to a beautiful series. (I kind of see End of Ages as an extension of Uru - not bad, just not quite Myst. So, in my mind, Revelation was the last Myst game.)
