Cheyanne mountian is stil operating, but there function is just bassicly tracking aircraft and handling hijacking situtions, but can still serve the purpose of tracking inbound warheads, although they cant really do much of anything as to transmit launch orders, they can issue scramble orders to shoot down hijacked aircraft.

NORAD (North American Aerospace Defense) Headquarters. Located at Chyenne (spelling?) Moutain, Colorado. Atleast the outside, the inside was on some hollywood film set. Supposebly the Cheyanne Mountain facility can sustain 200 megatons of yield from nuclear weapons and still be operable.

How can they test the yield? Wouldn't the mountian like melt and flood the base with lava or some shit.

Lava? it isnt a volcano.... I dont know the details, Im sure it wouldnt be fun to be inside the blast doors though when a 20 megaton nuclear warhead hit though. If your outside the blast doors though, forget about it, your either vaporized or burnt toast.
