Last Hope (Neo Geo)

Last Hope by NG Dev team. A playthrough of the first stage. I added some demo footage to show a few more stages at the end. This excellent Neo Geo shooter which is similar to R-Type and Pulstar was first released in 2006 on the AES format. The Neo Geo CD version being played here was released in 2007. In the CD version the shots are pink coloured and therefore more visible. Also you have more options to change the game difficulty.

I highly recommend buying a copy of this game. It's a really great shooter. Just be ready for a challenge though but it does get very tough at times. The graphics look very good and the music in the game, by Rafael Dyll, is excellent especially in Stage 4.

Although developed for the Neo Geo Last Hope also appeared on the Dreamcast. If you're planning to get a copy for Dreamcast it's best to go for the newer 'pink bullets' version rather than the original release. The game is being played with Nebula on a PC using the actual Neo Geo CD.

It's a shame this is so expensive on AES. I seem to remember you saying you had a copy for DC but it might still be worth thinking about getting the new 'pink bullets' DC release.

Thanks Narox. Playing on default difficulty I'd say Last Resort is easier. With Last Hope though you can reduce the difficulty quite a bit if you want by adjusting various options.

@IvoryGecko1993 It's a homebrew game, an unofficial release. A bootleg is an unauthorized copy of an officially released game.

is it me or does this game look like it can pass 4 pulstar 2 the game"s cool & all i"d still get it neo geo is starving 4 a good wrestling game maybe wrestlefest or superstars or maybe the rumored 3 count bout 2 or something original but they definitely need more 2d wrestling.

Does the Neo-Geo CD or Dreamcast version of this have cut frames? I've heard this, but honestly I can't tell the difference. I also suggest Pink Bullets over the original which is really hard to see enemy fire on.
