i watched the video the officer should have drawn his firearm as soon as the nutjob started bk towards the truck and should have definatly shot the psycho as he pulled that rifle from the truck. its stuff like that that makes all cops scarred then angry. i dont mean to be a dick that cop didnt deserve to be exacuted.

Officers in any other situation not involving a firearm, usually are required by their department to try using a taser or a asp to detain or disarm a subject if possible, obviously that was not an option. He would still be alive today and the perp would have received his well-deserved death.

It is not fair to say that the cop is at fault here, that is not ethical. Cops under statute of the law have the authority to shoot to kill once a perp goes for a weapon. I agree, obviously people would say its police brutality if he shot him right when he went for the gun, I guess thats the world we live in. It needs to change, I think the officer really didnt want to kill the man, he yelled at him for a long time to drop the weapon. People know that if you grab a gun around an officer its over

At one of my keg parties, when cops were called, there were 5 cops in less than 2 minutes. Where was his backup? So unfortunate.

And yes, the Officer should have fired once the driver puled the gun, aiming

for the leg, NOT THE HEAD! If you think that the police should adopt the policy

of shooting everyone that disobeys a command or dances in the street, then

half the people in the country would be in jail and there would be a damn

revolution.

I feel terrible about what happen to this Officer and my sympathy goes to his family.

I mean no disrespect to this Officer. In response to the comments I've received,

all I'm saying is this: "Live to fight another day man"! I mean that with regard to

the officer. A traffic violation is not a hill worth dying on for an Officer. If the Officer

had shot the man for just disobeying the Officer, then that kind of Officer is as

bad as the criminal.
