God how I miss this show :( How I miss the very essence of perfection in every story told through Star Trek. If there is something I could wish for again then it's to forget everything I know about Star Trek and watch it all over again... It's such a curse to be in love with Star Trek...

You have to compare this episode withe final episode and watchig Jake lookig out of the porthole and seeig the wormhole appear ad know that he's thinking about his father. This was what Deep Space Nine focused on..a widowe and his son bonding together in the vast frontier of space fro a space station and how it grew through both happy and tough times. This was Deep Space Nine's finest episode.

This single episode since it first aired has continued to influence how I view father/son relationships. To this day I tear up each time I watch it. Thank you for posting this!

Agreed, Ds9 is much darker than other series of star trek but it's the most close to me... Deeper caracter exploration, more emotions love it!

This was my favorite episode of DS9. The first time I watched it, it made me cry. Me and my father are really close. Thank you for making/posting this video. This is worth way more than 5 stars.
