Star Ocean 4 The Last Hope Final Boss Battle (Part 2/2)

Split into two parts because of Youtube's 10-minute limit.

This boss has two parts. In the first part you have to eliminate the orbs that spin around in front of him. Until you do the rest of him is invulnerable, so Sight Out is kind of useless. The yellow orb causes a bunch of status effects so it was annoying in the beginning when I got Pumpkin'ed/Silenced, but I was able to get the yellow orb done first so that wasn't a problem later. Once all four orbs are gone he does a little 'rage' animation and then his whole body is now vulnerable, making the boss relatively straightforward from then on.

I finally used the good weapons I have available instead of my crappy early low ATK +80% EXP weapons. But I haven't done that much IC yet so I'm still probably a little on the underpowered side. Also, Bacchus's AI seems pretty bad. I had to change his AI to the most aggressive possible and it still looked like he stood around doing nothing half the time, even though he had plenty of MP.

Towards the end I saw how fast I was getting Rush gauge so I started spamming Rush comboes. I was trying to get Edge's "Defeat a Grigori with a Rush Combo" Arts Collection/Battle Trophy, but looks like I missed out on it by a little.

Now THIS is what a final boss SHOULD be! Angelic figures are always so epic looking to me, and this fellow here is no different! Definitly a lot better than SO3's.

Lately, I've been more into the giant, epic sized final bosses be the first form then they show their smaller and more deadlier form. :D

i hated this damn dude! i think jst becuase i couldnt saved and my game froze periodically so i got into a straight 30-40 min of playing on this one boss including a long ass cut scene and everyother boss ive killed. i was shitting bricks at the end!

The biggest help to me was Mp Conversion. I had auto heal also so I would gain MP then heal.

This boss was a pain in the ass. It took soo long to defeat it and it keeps pumpkining my Edge!!

uh..if youre still stuck and cant get back?? um

what you can do is. go back to the VERY beginning. like when your calnus crashed? yeah..hella far i know

and all you have to do is,

1 once you found the calnus on your map you..

2 look on you map and just follow the map downwards until you see those bubble things

3 follow the wall near the calnus, and that should get you back to the calnus

to get out of Nox? use the transporter next to the save
