It is so sad to see such a wonderful career change so much ! When I trained to be cabin crew it was all about service , caring with a touch of glamour , making sure all passengers reached their destination safe , refreshed and happy with the airline . But people have changed so much , no respect or care for others . I praise all who work as cabin crew as they have a very hard job these days !

Absolutley !! Typically, I will try to do this from my jumpseat. I like to seek out a few people I can use as able bodied Passengers. In the event of an evacuation. I always appreciate it when a crew member from another airline says " Hi, I'm_____, and I'm a ______. If there's anything I can do to help you, please don't hesitate to ask."

I know it may not always translate. but when I am flying in the cabin I always make a point to make eye contact and nod deferentially and smile to the attendants. I do this out of respect and to try to convey that I am a friend to be could be called on if necessary. In your opinion are such jestures ever noticed and if so appreciated. If not I will stop. I am a Cargo Pilot but I have never felt it appropriate to mention this. Am I correct in this? Take care
