I think Ernie can survive without Bert. Ernie is more of a free spirit that needs to meet others like him instead of being with a stick in the mud like Bert. Bert is at times introverted, serious and not fun, no wonder he doesn't have any friends. Unlike Ernie has more friends, though their more crazy then he is LOL Cookie Monster, The Salesmen, and The Count (having him sleep over; BAD IDEA, Come on, you all know the sketch where Ernie can't get any sleep) LOL :)

I remember seeing this back in the early 80's. This clip was definitely repeated in a few episodes. Maybe someday we might be lucky to see it again.

Sesameguy told me this was on during a 1982 episode. But I'm with you, I'd really like to see it in video!
