Ludovico Einaudi (born 23 November 1955 in Turin, Italy) is an Italian contemporary classical music composer and pianist. His phenomenal CD sales and ability to sell out major concert halls worldwide are confirmation that Einaudi is one of classical music's success stories of recent years. After studying at the Conservatory in Milan, and subsequently with Berio, he spent several years composing in traditional forms. In the mid-1980s he began to search for a more personal expression in a series of works for dance and multimedia, and later for piano. His music is ambient, meditative and often introspective, drawing on minimalism, world music, and contemporary pop. He has made a significant impact in the film world, with four international awards to his name.

The dude is a genius, one of the few that still compose nice instrumental music.
For other instumental music (so not classic) i oftne listen to game music from square soft/enix and music from certain anime. It's not rly comparable with this, but it's still nice
I'm not a fan of all the great classical composers. However, I must admit this is far different than I thought it would be. It's simply wonderful. I didn't think music like this existed.

Thank you for posting.
I guess I'm now a fan of contemporary classical.
