The Human Instinct were a New Zealand blues rock band active from the late 1960s until the early 1980s. The band's commercial peak was from 1969 to 1971, when albums featured the Jimi Hendrix-inspired guitar work of Billy Tekahika, professionally known as Billy TK. Members included Steve McDonald (Celtic music).
Burning Up Years was the debut album by New Zealand blues-rock band The Human Instinct. It was released in 1969 and reissued on CD by Ascension Records in 2001.
"Maiden Voyage" was originally recorded by Ashton, Gardner & Dyke's, and is wrongly credited to Maurice Greer.

The Human Instinct released their album "Peg Leg" after remixing it in Stebbing Studio's, just a few years ago. It's a great album too. I recommend it.
