i remember they sounchecked the synths for state of the nation,and then didnt play it.and tony wilson came on to introduce them and got a shitload of abuse much to his amusement. Bernard was off his head,but the version of sister ray at the end was classic.

Man I just found this! I'm somewhere out in that darkness aged 21 and a wee bit stoned! Amazing gig in the warm summer evening! Great line up that year - Husker Du springs to mind as pretty awesome also!

I was 17 when they sang this at Glastonbury, followed them from joy division to now. Top group who have influenced many of todays acts like the killers. Sadly these groups only come around once in alife time and i was priveleged to be one of the lucky ones to see them. Long live Bernard.
