@GEETARS3 I agree, some distortion pedals have interesting/useful sounds.
It just seems like alot of people think that a distortion pedal can be used to get a HIGH GAIN sound, and if someone is looking for that tone, a distortion pedal just wont cut it.
-
that's all well and good but the Boss HM2 is a classic.
-
@IdimmuXul Unless you like to sound like shit.

Protip: IF you want to play "METAL" shit, dont use a DISTORTON pedal. Get a grown up amp, and use an OVERDRIVE pedal as a clean boost . . .
-
@GEETARS3 I pretty much just said the HM2 would out preform the the MT2 in Heavier stuff. haha
-
actually the HM2 with all nobs to max is the pinnacle of the Swedish Death Metal sound.

Why even compare these two. They were made for different styles. Obviously the HM2 is gonna out perform the MT2 in HEAVY METAL. Keywords in the name. HEAVY METAL (HM2). The MT2 will out perform the HM2 in just regular hard rock, Metal stuff. Keywords in the name. METAL ZONE (MT2). All this worthless arguing is between a pedal made for Heavy Metal and a pedal made for Metal. Totally different genres.

@spicecrop You don't know me. My opinion is just Metalzone is much better.

you should really think about throwing away the MT-2, anyone else see a spark when the tone changed for a split second for the first set?
