Of us knew what song we were suppose to play when the kid was up there and just played the song. Other didn't know what to play, and shouldn't have even put their mouth near the mouthpiece. Well, that story was longer then I thought it would be, but they only let you put so much in each box... So yeah, that's the story anyways.

Tried to go along with what the kid was doing which was funny. Then he said we stink and then the Drum Band Director did "the sign" to start soloing what he told us to encase something like that happened... Then he looked mad that we can play, he just wasn't being the Conductor right. I don't blame the kid though, he doesn't know how to do stuff, kinda why we were there anyways. Myself and the other drums just played what he told us to when the kid started to do the moves... Luckily, most....

The 5th grade school to play because they will be able to try for band if they're interested. We got there, and our 1st chair trombone messed up at the beginning and played before he wanted us to start as well. Then each year they let a kid get up and be the Conductor, none of us knew what to do. The kid was retarded... Band Director told him what means what, but the kid didn't know what he was doing... So we played the song he told us to play when kid got up, so we just did that... Others....

They use real ones, but they're thinner metal to be lighter. They play the same as a regular tuba with the full metal though, therefore being the one they should instead of the plastic ones. Though, I'm sure whoever said that the plastic tuba messes with their crank didn't know about a thinner type of tuba that plays the same as a regular tuba, it's just a thinner metal the real tuba. Our band is always 1st 2nd or 3rd to every contest we're in. Though funny story to tell, that we went. to...

@timebomb555 That through most of that a lot of them played the wrong notes. He's been a Band Director for 31 years too, so I'm pretty sure he knows what he's talking about. Trumpets were playing notes weakly, but they were probably playing so low he said because they aren't even playing the right notes. Also, for the guy said the plastic tubas mess with their crank... Well it does, but they're used for young students like this band is. They are freshmen, though my band in 6th uses real ones...

@timebomb555 Will do my friend. I'm not really trying to compete with you either... though you said the instruments you play, so I said the ones I play. The ones I said were the ones I've pretty much mastered. Plus I played them before starting band this year... I can play the others pretty good, but not as good as the ones I named. Also, my Band Director, well the Drum Band Director anyways, said this band did worse then you're saying they did. He said the trumpets did play weak notes, and...

I hope your not trying to compete with me because I seriously play all of those instruments well and others at an intermediate level but good job on first chair. Seriously though, talk to me when your first chair in high school while you are in middle school
