When you said you liked it...a piece of me died. I agree on all your points and you haven't even gotten to the really bad parts yet, what, in Gods name, could you have liked about this trash?

My liking for the film is on the level of liking a cheap laser light show or a bloated fireworks demonstration. Nothing respectable about it, but it entertained me none the less.

Personally, I found this movie to be exactly like watching a porno flick but they replaced the explicit sex scenes with giant robots fighting.

Seriously, watch every scene that kid is in and just remove the robot stuff. Not only is the very subject matter taken from such a film, but the consistency and dialogue is of the same caliber as well.

It's silly and dumb in places, but this one is kind of a guilty pleasure for me that as you said was suitably entertaining and much better than it's sequels (Or I assume it's better than the third as I didn't go to see it in the theater, but I sure as hell know it was better than 2). I just pray that in a decade they do a reboot of the franchise that does a better job.

You pointed out some great problems with the plot and story I hadn't realised before. I enjoyed it when it first was released. It's good compared to the sequels.

Just one thing...A 30 something year old liking a high school student that looks as grown up as Megan Fox is hardly a pedophile. Pedophile's like CHILDREN.

This review confirmed that Matthew misses certain plot points then bitches about them. He complained that Megan Fox character knowing how to use cars was a useless plot device, yet it's to explain why she able to hotwire the truck later in the film and relates to her and her father's criminal record . Also the main reason the Transformers were hacking government files was to find MEGATRON!!! He was still frozen.

about your problem with the terrorists are hot comment. well 17 looks adult and isnt that different to 18 and 17 is legal in most places. and the characters are actually 18 adult according to imdb. also what if someone in their 20s said they wanted to fuck megan fox.

@JamesFnQuinn well i disagree with u actually i thought this film was a fun summer blockbuster to put it at best it's a popcorn flick it's fun and entertaining but rotf sucked big time ! i used to love the film untill i realised wow the second film was a huge letdown however i hope the 3rd one will make up for it

@255ad Seriously, if you cannot comprehend as simple a plot as the one demonstrated in Transformers, then you must be quite stupid. Bumblebee becomes Sam's guardian since he is in possession of a set of glasses that give the coordinates to the "All-Spark". Problem solved.
