WaterCan - Around the world, 1.1 billion people lack access to clean water. Another 2.6 billion don't have access to basic sanitation, like toilets or safe latrines.

The result? A devastating cycle of poverty and disease that hampers development and claims the lives of over 5000 children each day.

WaterCan is a Canadian charity dedicated to breaking this cycle by helping the world's poorest people gain access to clean water, basic sanitation and hygiene education.

Since 1987, WaterCan's programs have reached more than one million people and dramatically improved opportunities for health, education, gender equality, and economic growth.
