OK, all depends, in the bright or in the dim situation. example in the sunny day (bright light) the pics almost the same sharp, anyway it depends with your F stop also... thanks buddy for our conversation about photography...peace! oh ya you said the longer the focal length, the softer & less contrasty lens it is.... I agree with you.
@gunawantuna nope. the longer the focal length, the softer & less contrasty lens it is. unless it's an L series that usually has UD elements. Btw, just visited your flickr page... awesome sets you got there.
@gunawantuna you missed my point, my friend. i said "among the three lenses you mentioned" anyways, i love primes.. 50mm f/1.8 is my first ever lens. then i bought EF 100mm f/2.8L. 18-55mm was bought from a friend that serves as my walk-around lens.
nope.. prime lens is usually sharper than zoom lens..example: 50mm f1.8 (the cheapest prime lens you can get for $100,- only). But if you want to get a sharp zoom lens better you go to canon L series that has F2.8...thank's.
@joankamberaj Yep. EF-S 18-55mm F/3.5-.5.6 IS ll (Image stabilization) Or, there is a DC one.

many people don't realise that 18-55mm is the amazing kit lens available. if you know how to take pics then it serves you well.
