There is a bit of Aikido in Wado Ruy style. Wado has a lot of irimi and nagashi technique.

Tatsuo Suzuki passed away on July 12th 2011 at the age of 83. He died having lived a very full life doing what he loved everyday, Wado Karate. Truly a martial arts legend. And an amazing man to know. To learn more about the man, read his story in his own words in "Suzuki, The Fullness of a life in Karate" which you can find on amazon in hard cover or soft.

Wado is one of the most beautiful style of karate because is a mix of jujutsu, karate shotokan/shito ryu and a little part of aikido.

Well Otsuka did train with many different karate-ka, but formally he only trained under Funakoshi. There is no Akido in Wado, it is Shindo Yoshin Ryu Jujitsu
