How is she being abused now? She seems pretty happy to me. Back in the day, young boys were taught how to use and maintain rifles, and they grew up and turned out fine. Some of them grew up to actually create this country called America. Girls weren't included at the time due to gender role differences but the principle is the same. Besides, kids that learn to use firearms are statistically more well behaved than those that don't.

This is awesome. I'm sending this to all my 'lefty' friends to irk them. Mckenzie rocks! Seriously, good job on her dad (or mom) for not being sexist and teaching their girl some practical firearms skills.

I disagree, this is teaching her technical skills, dexterity and concentration. Using a weapon to teach those may not be ideal, but i'm sure lots of young kids would jump at the chance to learn how to do this. The fact that its a gun is what would make a child sit up and pay attention.
