Feline Communication: Nikki and Brodie, Pt. 1

Nikki (Siamese ladycat) and Brodie (tabby boy) having an interesting cat-conversation. Nikki is wearing a cone collar because her thigh was injured in a fight outside (she is very territorial); she is doing much better now, but she is very frustrated because she can't groom herself properly yet. And I am not sure exactly what is going on here but Brodie seems to be making very friendly (in the platonic sense, of course, they're both fixed!) gestures toward her. I almost wonder if he was offering to groom her! This was really interesting to see because Nikki normally tries her best to avoid the other cats here (she's 8 years older than they are and usually finds them obnoxious). But Brodie is the kind of cat who loves and wants to be friends with all other cats, and he is determined to keep trying with Nikki!
