Southern Pacific Daylight locomotive #4449 ran a special Amtrak train from Portland, OR to Tacoma, WA on 6/21/2011 for the National Railway Historical Society (NRHS). Public tickets were sold at the last minute and so I grabbed myself a seat in the Silver Lariat dome car. Here is a short 5:00 video on board the train as it speeds north to Tacoma. Shots are taken from the Silver Lariat dome, Silver Solarium rear-end observation car, and the Gordon Zimmerman baggage/concessions car.
