Can't get enough of this song, can't wait to be able to play it myself!
-
How about the song we are supposed to be listening too? Beautiful isn't it? Perhaps those fighting about words should listen to the words.
-
beautiful...
just that!

@wordinheart i think that's just legalistic attitude. definitely, the "dang" should have been replaced with WOW or what not, but his attitude wasn't cursing the bible or in any way. The Word is supernatural, it's not like he chucked it across the room. But once again, he should refrain from doing things that can stumble those with a weaker conscience.
-
@wordinheart Wow, were you really "disturbed" by that? He said "dang". That is not a "cuss word". Plus, he barely dropped it on the ground. He's sitting up ready to record and doesn't want to put his guitar down and and get off his chair so he leans over and drops it gently on the ground. "Throwing it" lol, you're a joke

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:1

A Bible is a book, regardless of how precious the words inside. You read the precious words and take it in, but the book is just a book!

well, first of all no one cussed. i listened to it a 100 times. he says, "Dang!" and then makes a joke about cussing to a group of ppl that got the joke cause they laughed. He did not say damn, so yall need to chill out. and I agree with Acorn guy. it's nothing but paper and glue. God did not invest His power into paper and glue, but into words that cut bone deep as the word says. This song is amazing. And Nikrguy! GREAT metaphor about how it crushes us! I like that!

Remember what Isaiah said when he saw the glory of God (as accounted in Isaiah 6)? Ask anyone who knows how we should interpret his words "Woe is me!" Think of the strongest language you've heard - that's what Isaiah said. (And so would I.)
If I was more affected by someone dropping a book which contains the words God has given us than by the heartfelt sharing of some of those powerful words, I would know I had my priorities mixed up. No offense. (I have my own struggles.)
I can understand why you might be bothered by that, but we have to also look at their hearts. These guys could be making lots of money singing music that isn't bringing glory to the Father, but they're serving Him. I think that dropping the bible like that was their way of representing how sometimes the Word hits us so hard, like a falling weight that crushes our rebellion, assumptions, and everything we think we have figured out.

Thank you wordinheart for illustrating what Jesus was talking about when speaking to the Pharisees about completely missing the heart of something in order focus on a detail that others would probably not notice.
