Just some video of our Home Theater setup. This is a 42" Vizio LCD HDTV. I'm subscribed with Dish Network's Top 250 package with HD and Local. What's being shown is Forrest Gump on ABC in HD. Notice how they're preserving the 2.35:1 Scope of the movie, but Pan and Scan it on the Non-HD channel?

  • What receiver are you using? If it's the ViP 722 or any similar HD box, then you need to use the HDMI cable. This will give you the best picture quality. Also, I noticed the Vizio TVs take a few seconds to show a picture after you switch the input to the correct one.

  • Hey, I have Dish hooked into a small TV but I just brought home my Vizio 42" and hooked the Dish cable into the back. . .I'm not getting any channels. Any suggestions? Thanks
