@Lilstrike16 It happens with all afro type of hair. You can try washing your hair with twists in and little by little restretch it. If you perm you better be aware of other consequences (brittle, dry hair and eventual scalp burns) and accept restrictions (not getting your hair wet)

since u know alot about hair i got a question. when i wash my afro it shrinks and looks shorter and it cant fit into a pony tail after i wash it. and i wanted to know if i get a perm would that keep my hair from looking shorter when i wash it??
