Me and my friend who is black dressed up like Samuel L Jackson and John Travolta from Pulp Fiction. But, I put blackface on and pretended I was Jackson and my mate but White make up on and pretended he was John Travolta. Went to the party, and a had a laugh.

No one was boverd by our costumes at all and could us ledgends. But then again I come from the UK where everyone can take a joke and not relate something to the 19 or 1800's

In the Netherlands we have a national event called Sinterklaas ( historical precessor of santa claus) . At this event (lasts about 2 weeks) people dress up , there's1 old white man with a white beard and a red hat and all the others paint themselves black and have colourful outfits and are his aids, at delivering presents etc.

Noone here finds it offensive or w/e but i'm sure if you did the same in the US it would be "racist"....
