I was 6 years old when Mr. Henson died. I didn't really get the Muppets when I was little, I watched Sesame Street only sometimes. But even so, the Muppets taught me how to be better. The lessons on how to be a decent human being were taught to me by just some foam and a wire, attached to a green velvet sleeve.
Thank you Mr. Henson.
Thank you Kermit.

I was 13 months old when he died, and I still miss him.

Song begins
/Sniffling
"Not quite in your voice i'll say.."
/ugly sobbing
"I'll miss you dad"
/bawling.

Huge leaky tears spilling from my eyes. And for what? A song sung from the perspective of a Muppet about his Muppeteer. But because of Jim? It's a song sung by Kermit the Frog about his creator and best friend about how he'll never be the same without him. And that matters. Because of Jim.

Whenever Tom plays this live, the whole audience is dabbing at their faces with damp handkerchiefs. I know, I've seen it.
