  • RIP A great man is gone forever.

  • sleep well harry.......We are all proud of you

  • Guys / girls, full respect to Radiohead for putting pen to paper, but the real heroes are the men and boys who were sent to their deaths by leaders who possessed no morals, ufortunately the term HERO has been tarnished by modern media and somewhat demoted and now even a footballer can be a hero, Respect to both sides not just "our boys" because underneath it all we all bleed the same colour. RIP Harry Patch

  • Two civilised nations, English and German, fighting one another, why? Why did we do it? Well said sir. RIP Mr Patch.

  • What a champion.

  • This tells you for sure that war sticks with you for ever and cannot be rubbed off. It's incredible that someone was still alive back that far to tell about it.

  • R.I.P harry you were are true hero and legend,Bless you and may you find peace and harmony in heaven:)

  • In 2009, we have suffered great loss. Not one, but 5 of the last living links to WWI were lost:

    January 10, Bill Stone

    April 4, Netherwood Hughes

    June 3, John Cambell Ross

    July 18, Henry Allingham

    July 25, Harry Patch

Now, only 3 links remain: Frank Buckles, John Babcock and Claude Choules

  • Last living link to the generation that is now gone forever

  • full respect to this man, he did his country proud, i was at his millitary funeral in my uniform :)
