Keith Jarrett - Tokyo Encore (transcribed & performed by Uwe Karcher)

One of my favorite piano tunes. Keith played it in Tokyo on Nov. 14th, 1976. You can find the original version on the fabulous "Sun Bear Concerts" (ECM). I realized that there is no suitable transcription available (the only one is the so called Turbatte transcription which didn´t work for me - too many mistakes concerning notes, rhythm and hand splitting - guess you know what I mean...). So I decided to make a transcription on my own - hope you enjoy the result. I transcribe a lot (mostly unpublished piano solo tunes played by Keith Jarrett, Bill Evans, Herbie Hancock, Lyle Mays - just to mention a few). So if you like this video, stay tuned - there will be more to come in the future ☺
BTW, some of you guys might ask me for my transcription. There is a pretty good chance that the sheet music will be published by the Schott Verlag, so I hope you will understand I can´t send any copies at the moment ☹

@kitttt2002: thanks for your comment! Actually, I started playing piano as a kid (about 6 years old) - but I decided to practice intense when I got the chance to play in a band at the age of 15... But it´s never too late to learn to play the piano, if you stick to it :-)
