One of my favorite piano tunes. Keith played it in Tokyo on Nov. 14th, 1976. You can find the original version on the fabulous "Sun Bear Concerts" (ECM). I realized that there is no suitable transcription available (the only one is the so called Turbatte transcription which didn´t work for me - too many mistakes concerning notes, rhythm and hand splitting - guess you know what I mean...). So I decided to make a transcription on my own - hope you enjoy the result. I transcribe a lot (mostly unpublished piano solo tunes played by Keith Jarrett, Bill Evans, Herbie Hancock, Lyle Mays - just to mention a few). So if you like this video, stay tuned - there will be more to come in the future ☺
BTW, some of you guys might ask me for my transcription. There is a pretty good chance that the sheet music will be published by the Schott Verlag, so I hope you will understand I can´t send any copies at the moment ☹

  • @kitttt2002: thanks for your comment! Actually, I started playing piano as a kid (about 6 years old) - but I decided to practice intense when I got the chance to play in a band at the age of 15... But it´s never too late to learn to play the piano, if you stick to it :-)

  • Very beautiful, Uwe! Such a lovely piano, too. Very talented! There are some pretty technical passages in this piece! I'll be following along now... (- Jonathon Wilson)

  • @groovewindow: Thanks, Jonathon - nice to hear from you :-) Next piece to come is "Sept. 15th" by Mays / Metheny in a couple of days... Cheers, Uwe
