Here's a fresh look into a dialogue Shawns had where Michelle asks


He answers with

Michelle then goes onto to create a valid comparison between Moses and a schizophrenic and asks how Shawn would be able to identify the difference between, a person who has been commanded by god to kill and a schizophrenic. He answers by saying
Michelle then asks how he would feel if someone were to kill a family member or himself and portray themselves as someone who has been commanded by God to do so. However he answers by saying it would depend whether he knew?
However Michelle repeated back to a previous point he had made, however Shawn responds by claiming how God is not in control of evil people actions.
Michelle gives an example of how God manipulated the Pharaohs actions to portray Gods wrath. So in return if Shawn and his parents were to be killed, then it would be under the will of God whether the person or persons were commanded or not.
He responds to Michelles point about the Pharaoh by portraying how God was only indirectly in control of his actions. In a nutshell I think Shawn did come to conclude that God was responsible for his actions because, he explains how he manipulates the events & circumstances, so he would become evil.
He then concedes to the fact that it would be just.
Just think about that for a moment...... He would be completely fine with God commanding somebody to kill him and his parents without a valid reason. Along with the fact that he would be willing to kill if he were ever commanded by God.
If this doesn't demonstrate how dangerous Shawn can be considering, how he would be willing to kill somebody for no reason or justification, If he was ever under the illusion that God had commanded him to kill someone, he would consider to be moral.
Could you imagine if he were to take the role of a pastor or any position of influence, where he would portray this as a moral standard and consider acceptable, is completely bat shit crazy!!!
Shawn if this type of morality were to be governed by any civilised society then it would be its downfall.

This type of behaviour/belief isn't as rare as one may think. There are people sitting in prison today because they have killed because God has commanded them to.

I don't think so, not because he wouldn't want to, but because he is a coward. I don't really think that he has as much strength in his convictions as he portrays.

He's a complete and total divine command psychopath; no less than those who would beat their children to death as a form of discipline as well. America is headed in that direction. Sadly, no one in either of the two viable parties takes religion and divine command anything fully to task. They simply don't. Obama stands up to some on some constitutional grounds and Paul does to some on others, but it's woefully inadequate.
