  • This device is mechanical , just an inductor and points to cut current . Output voltage is normal for fencer , around 5000 V , but output current is very low , anything at all touching the wire ( crass comes to my mind ) , voltage will drop down and is almost useless ( see video : Goat Meets Electric Fence ) . Newer electronic chargers charge a capacitor to high voltage and then discharge it through transformer giving a powerful jolt ( many kWs ). " Goat wouldn't try it twice "

  • and how much voltage does this fencer generate on the output?

  • is the red thing a coil ... i mean a car coil?
