Even if only 5-10% of the public support Ron Paul like the official polls say, only about 5-10% of the population vote in the Republican Primary! Well buddy, I too wish Dr. Paul would run as a 3rd party candidate. I think he's got what it takes to win the general election regardless of party...if only he'd have some way to assuredly be in the running. Imagine, Dr. Paul vs. Hilary or Obama vs. Huck or Romney...who you gonna vote ofr if you have half a brain.

You're close on his political affiliation. Paul ran for President as a Libertarian in 1988. He's not a Republican, he's a Libbie. Which is why he is going to be crushed in the Republican primary. (Real Republicans are either fundamentalist wackjobs or proto-fascists).

I love this guy. I am a massachusetts democrat who's never voted republican in my life but I am ready to switch parties. I wish Ron would run as an independent, because in reality, that's what he is.
