Same video clip twice over.
I have managed to get 2.5x slow motion with No frame loss, BOTH clips run at 23.976 FPS!

to get 2.5x slower video from 24P you would have to reduce the fps to 9.6. which looks like a slide show.

what i did was shoot at 60i, then take each field and turn it into it's own frame (effectively 60P), then reduce the speed down to 23.976.

this was just a quick test, bad lighting and bad compression, but you get the idea, video running smooth and fluent at 2.5 slower than realtime. still in REAL 24P

many more steps, but MUCH better looking than what i see usually people importing 60i to a timeline and slowing it down.

  • I am a newbie and this is cool. how can I do this with my dvx100b and adobe premiere cs3?

  • @jojogalan

premiere wont do it, read the vid info

  • @sausagenmuff thanks. how did you turn each field into frames?

  • @jojogalan I believe I used a virtualdub plugin, it's trial and error, you kinda gotta muck around with deinterlacing, its usually bottom field first, and should be 60 FPS at 720x240 when your done
