Boring video of one trip around the pattern for runway 35 at ONZ - Grosse Ile Municipal Airport (Grosse Ile Michigan)

Cold day -8C. Minimal wind.

Airplane is a Merlin GT with a Rotax 912 - A rag and tube LSA taildragger with no heat.

  • For us Merlin flyers it is not boring Geoffrey. It would be nice what the numbers are on your Merlin. What's the year of manufacturing? We have around a dussin Merlins here in Calgary. And we have great "muffler - heaters". Great for our climate.

    My Merlin was first flown in 1998. Cruises at about 80 mph, but I haven't done any real cross country flying in it except for bringing it home when I bought it in 2010. 739 pounds empty, 1300 gross. 16 gallons of fuel in the wing tanks. A heater is on my list of things to do, but so is flying more :-)
