Nope guess again!

Actually it was serialized in the pulp magazine "All Story Magazine" under the name "Under the Moons of Mars" But the Complete book wasn't published until October 10 1917 under its final name "A Princess of Mars".
Wonderful Story. I read for the first time 43 years ago. It hasn't aged well, but is still a favorite of mine. I hope the movie lives up to the Original Story. *fingers crossed

Princess of mars was first published in 1912 xD

I'm sorry, but the aliens (tharks) look almos nothing facially like the books described. The eyes are on the sides of the head and stick out. They have two cone like antenie that come out of the top of the head witch are thier ears. The nose is little more than two slits in the center of the face. Lastly the tusks jut strait up from the lower jaw and the tips reach the point where a humans eyes would be plased in referecne to there facial makeup. Other than that they look totally correct :)

I kind of understand that you guys must be good buddies and that really comes across in the way you let your personality encroach on the review its self, to be honest, for me, i find that quite irritating, i quit the review a third of the way through. When you do your next review can we please have more about the item being reviewed and less about the personal banter between yourselves.

@MyGuatemalan Why should the aliens be grotesque? I really doubt not making them extremely ugly was Disney chose. They look like like how the book described.

In my opinion, im sorry it totally feels like a Disney movie. Reminds me of a prince of persia, and feels campy. esp. with the music. And Honestly i think they should have made the design of mars more persian in nature than being so on the fence. And the green creatuers are not as grotesc as they chould be. I dunno, ill see it but at first glance im skeptical.
Dude with the mohawk? STFU
