I rtied to contact him several times through writing and phone calls to ask if he or his company could put in writing that the Emerson Commander is "NOT A GRAVITY KNIFE". Neither him nor anyone in his company would even want to talk about that. Beware owning any of the wave knives as they could be classified as a gravity knife and get you into serious trouble in most states. Ernest Emerson does not care about knife rights or about his civilian customers.

they problem is if you break ur knife ur out of luck. they only warranty factory defects and let me tell ya they stick by that. and they charge u for return shippin. like $15 and they also charge u for sharpening. thats all crazy. buck, kershaw, gerber and many more i will send in broken blades broken handle and the knife is 10 or what ever years old and they have never questioned me. ive gotten new knives back. thats great. sorry but emerson is terrible. the worst costomer service ive seen

I agree, the new Ravens with the hidden wave are totally sweet.
I've been putting off buying Emerson knives for a while now but looks like I'll get one of those when they're available.
