@saskabush2006 it wasn't Byrne's fault, but the music company. Byrne also wanted the performances from the movie but they didn't agree and wanted TH to sing it.

The whole movie is just beautiful like this. A small town utopia of friendly facinating people who all come together to celebrate their differences. What I wouldn't give to live in a place like that.

Goodman was born to sing this song. You believe every word when Goodman sings it, compared to Byrne's recording, which, while awesome, has that "I can't help it, I'm David Byrne" sarcastic edge to it. (Am I making any sense?) [And please, *NO* "Stop Making Sense" jokes!]
