It's possible Obama is walking very softly, but carrying a really, really big stick. It wouldn't be the first time an American President did that, and it is oooh sooo very much more effective than going on incesently about it as some people in the previous administration did. All that accomplished was making Bush look a lot dumber and a lot worse than he really was.

How do you know Obama isn't doing anything? The best action that I can think of would be to say the bare minimum while beginning covert operations and preparing insergants to fight a guerilla war against the government. If he doesn't say much it's all deniable and all the more effective. Cov-ops and training and supplying insergants would be easy since Iran is essentially sandwiched between two countries where we have a significant military presence (Iraq and Afgahnistan).

He is doing precisely what he should do. All the best foreign policy experts including Henry Kissinger agree with him.

I used to agree, but after hearing what has happened at the square in Tehran today I am starting to change my mind. It is still for the Iranian people to win, but I think it would be good to supply them with weapons and training since at present they have nothing to fight back with. A good insergancy would school those despotic dictators real well.

Just to remind you, the dictator is the person Barak Obama wanted to rehabilitate as a valid partner for his diplomacy.

The stupid American also saluted this election process and the fact that Iran has democratic election.
