Suicide Bomber Kills 22 Pakistani Guards

The powerful blast of a suicide bomb killed 22 Pakistani border guards on Thursday the 27th at the main crossing point in Afghanistan.

The guards at the Khyber Pass were about to break their fast at sunset for the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.

A teenage boy carrying a bottle of soda walked toward them and blew himself up.

One eyewitness says the blast was so powerful that it killed almost all the guards sitting there.

[Guftar Ali, Eyewitness]:
"Only two minutes were left for the 'azaan' (call to break fast) when there was a loud explosion. Around 15 to 20 people were killed on the spot. We took out only four men who were injured."

It was the first big attack in Pakistan since Pakistani Taliban chief Baitullah Mehsud was killed in a U.S. missile strike on August 5th.

Al Qaeda-linked militants are fighting the government because of its support for the U.S.-led campaign against Islamist militancy.

The Pakistani government needs to round up these mullahs preaching hate and execute them for treason. They preach this kind of sickness to ignorant impressionable people and send them out to further their own little agendas that have nothing to do with God or religion.

Of course, as there were taliban who went the other way.And also there might never have been Taliban if Pakistani security had not given enormous funds to the taliban. This money was given by the USA to fund resistance to the Russians. It was intended for all resistance forces, but channelled through the Pakistani security it nearly all went to the taliban. Thanks USA, it was a dumb move trusting those treacherous paki spooks.
