Falkner and Manning (both formerly in Jellyfish) opening for Cheap Trick in Charlottesville, VA at the Jefferson Theater on January 22, 2010. They are the opening act for only 4 shows, and this was the first show. Falkner and Manning also played with Cheap Trick for the entire Cheap Trick set.
If Jason hadn't been screwed over for songwriting credits on Bellybutton, he would probably be more inclined to perform with Andy again.

@frovil I am afraid not. it seems as if no one wants to work with andy. I wish people could check their ego's at the door. It's ridiculous to think that because you want to write you would rather not be a part of something timeless. They can all make their solo records and be a part of the genius that was the sturmer/manning partnership.
none of them have written anything 1/10th as good. so just be happy to be a part of something everyone loves.

@dirkworld Any movement on this front??? I trust there is a world of fans screaming for a reunited Jellyfish .... if Andy can be persuaded that is, these guys have spoken out in favour in interviews before and I'm sure Chris would love to jump back on bass if they let him! :)

He does have a couple on "ok" that I like.. "Komplicated Man" & "Stephanie Tells Me" but the rest are somewhat "flat" IMO.

That's a brilliant idea.

I will say I have a ton of respect and admiration for him, his songs are good just not really what my ear wants to hear. I like a lot of "ear candy" for my ears in a Jellyfish-Roger kinda way!

I know, it's just preference. My taste lay more in the "sunny"-pop vibe and impeccibly-styled production that Roger does than say the pop that Jason writes. To emphasize my point a little, Jason came close to writing the style of pop that I like to hear from him in his song "Moving Up". I think that is one of his best songs but he doesn't write like this normally. Frankly, IMO, he's run dry a bit(til proven otherwise) and Roger continues to baffle the mind and leave me utterly speechless!

It's funny how opinions can differ... I've been Loving Jason's newest stuff... again to each their own... Haha. Oh well... to me it's like comparing Beatles records with all this stuff... It's all sprinkled with magic dust. Jellyfish could obviously write hooks with the best of 'em, as can Jason... Why don't more people appreciate that? That's the mystery!
