Although these characters originated on SNL, this particular sketch did not appear on SNL, but instead on Steve Martin's "Best Show Ever".

I did not know this. I do remember these characters on SNL though. Steve Martin was almost a regular.

Maybe I'm getting old, but things just seemed funnier back then. I know I laughed a lot at these guys.
