Ratchet and Clank 1 Walkthrough Part 1: Veldin and Novalis are pretty nice this time of year

Welcome to Ratchet and Clank 1 Walkthrough Part 1.

We start on a little planet called Veldin, where the intro takes place. We then start off with our first mission:

Investigate the crash site.

We then find a robot that we take back to our garage. After another cutscene we set off towards Novalis, for no apparent reason, only to crash into a mountain. After some wandering around, we find a Plumber that gives us an Info-bot, if we pay first, with the coordinates for another planet.

But we have to go to find a ship first, in order to get there. So we go the other way, bash a lot of robots, before we reach the end where we save the old man from the cutscene.

He gives us a ship, we take off and concludes this episode.

I love how cartoony those first cinematics are. Grrrr, I've wanted to play this game since I was 10 years old!
