In some ways, yes, but there are much more effective approaches that help you build and maintain the kind of absolute, singular mental focus, self-discipline, patience (interestingly), and mental rehearsal 'HABITS' that move you forward in a straight line to your target (and I know what your 'Ultimate' target is).
