Well of course the street crimes are my ppl and Hispanics doing it we are angry and are placed in lower income places you remember when we were stolen from slavery we were purposely diva des from high income whites and placed In divisions that have yet to healed and ran by gangs and ignorant ppl

People who are offended about race mentioned here within the context of music just do not get it. there are differences in how every people group plays and listens to music. whatever you here from your mothers womb to the radio and or church, influences your "ear". Some is in the DNA , but most in the rearing. Musical geniuses hear it all and can play it all. thats the difference. Miles is honest about race and his experiences. Other African Americans think like that but may not say it .

I think the whole black and white thing comes from the fact that Miles was born and raised in a time, when racism still was a dominant in the daily life of people in USA ...

@AmandlaDavis i didnt mean to say you white people have a superiority complex. i miss spelt i ment to say yeah white people.. anyway im white
-
@AmandlaDavis your right i totally agree with no buts. anyway i suppose i can understand why his head is jerred cause of this. you white have a superiority complex. im from britain and thats governed by white supremisists. not only do you have to be white you have to have the same genetics. thats why i lost respect for nelson mandela. he was riding in the queens car like it was an honor. i mean how brainwashed can somone be. this is the bloodline and ragime that oppressed his people (man)

Is that George Duke? awesome!
-
@tomthefunky oh yes, and 1 white man can crack the entire economy of a continent! and once in a while kill people randomly in the streets, and sons, and mothers, and spit some rockets to keep our money worthy
how good we are
-
Damn, so Spiritual what Miles sez
-
@whiteej21: Don't give me that bullshit. If blacks and hispanics disappeared tomorrow, America's crime rate would plummet. We'd equal Canada's crime rate. You know it and I know it. Stop lying to yourself, pal. Your not doing yourself any favors.
-
@whiteej21: I'm white and when I hear about violent street crime or pimps, I automatically think it's a black dude. And guess what? It almost always is.
-
Wow! Miles plays Berg--that would have been something; sadly he never did that project. He and Gil Evans discussed doing a Jazz treatment of Tosca in '76. It would have been their first project together in 8 years but unfortunately that never materialized either.
-
Dig George Duke playin' with Miles on "Tutu"!!
-
@ANOTHERHOLEINYOHEAD So What
-
@LSDpeasantry i dont think he was anticipating mash-up music i think he was anticipating sampling and hip hop. ie premier, dilla, rza, pete rock, the real greats not girl talk.
-
Miles Davis was a talented musician, but damn he was one ugly motherfucker.
-
@2000sSTRAT read his biography.
-
@MrFigueroa007 The first half is right.
-
@Shadapaga It's the horse.
6:19 he says white folks if they see a pimp they think of black,... welll why renforce thaT image by playing a pimp i a tv show. i love miles but he has race problems.. i am not surprised concidering playing in bars to white black people and segregation to playing to 99 percent white people

@annabatarowicz i really don't wanna get into this, but after being hit in your head by police in front of the club you're headlining, or being pulled over in your ferrari because someone assumed you stole your 'masters' car, who really has race-problems in the first place?
but like i said, let's enjoy his music and legacy
