I found out what one problem was since then: my S-AFC 2 TH-point adjustment is completely off. It has been that way for quite some time now, apparently. It should be as follows: Low-Throttle 25%, High-Throttle 35%, not 67% and 6%. Craziness.

This was very interesting Biscuit. My GA16DET has lost a bit of power recently. I suspect it has a manifold gasket failure. I drove it yesterday while putting the car away for Summer storage though, and it sounds like the manifold gasket failed and I am losing boost. I won't be taking it apart until December to find out though. We probably should be retorquing our manifold bolts from now on, especially that tough one to get at.

Good video man, I have personally never had this problem using a t-20, at least not that I have noticed.
have you used a straight edge to make sure neither the manifold, or the head ports are warped?
and as for the turbo weight issue, the GA and QG TSI manifolds are the same manifold. QG18DE kits use T25s

I haven't checked it... but you could be right. Next time I pull it off, I'll check.

i have a jgstool manifold for my ga16, how much dirrecence doyouthink thier is between the two? jgs also is a log type manifold pretty much free flowing. also inoticed the flange on the manifold isnt directly in the center. is that why the tsi manifold has that divider in it.

I believe that is the reason for the divider. If you've ever seen a stock CA18ET or CA18DET turbo manifold, they are so off-centre and have the divider for better flow.
