Great Radio your videos are very helpful

Did your radio comes with pre-programmed frequencies in memory mode? I bought my radio on 409shop.com and it looks used to me..

I don't understand how to use this thing..UGHHH

I just ordered one.

@TechnoZombie You can add(write) and remove frequencies (to the memory) by using the desktop software.

excellent indepth video. I salute you in the description on this radio. I picked this up last weekend, and had most figured out except how to disable the alarm mode. I removed battery...LOL
is there any other way to remove channels from memory besides the computer programming mode? Mine came with a lot of 445.xxx, and so on pre-programmed :(

@ez2curanut Hi, I don't believe you can delete memories directly on the radio itself. It might be easier to do a factory reset by holding down the u/v button while powering on. You might find the FAQ at the UV-3R yahoo group useful - groups.yahoo.com/group/UV-3R/files/FAQ/

@chrishoward9999 Would you recommend upgrading from the UV-3R Mark 1?

@KSL233 Personally I wouldn't bother. They are virtually identical in function. The mark 2 is just slightly easier to use and has the convenience of a single dual band antenna.

Does this radio transmit on the 450-470MHz band like the mark 1?
