Brilliant! Any time Dylan performs a song, it's as if listening to the song for the first time. There's nothing that he does that I don't like. Forever evolving

from when is this recording ?

"It's possible to become so defiled in this world that your own mother and you own father will abandon you, and if that happens, God will always believe in your own abilities to mend your own ways..." He was obviously loaded, but I get the gist of what he meant in his acceptance speech, even better than he told it in his song.

Bobby's voice may suck a bit on this version...but the intro by Jack makes the whole thing worth it all....c'mon, THE Jack introducing THE Bob saying "ladies and gents, this guy's a riot in more ways than one...." just classic.

@welcome2myhell For those who read "Like a Rollin Stone", by Greil Marcus, understand the beauty in this

Hmmm, he is the master so I can't be too critical, but I saw him do a show like this once where I just wanted him to do one song the way you remember it. I like his recent incarnation better.

@andrewdb01 And it was his weird alcoholic recovery years when he had a bad writers block before he would come back with Time out of Mind and Love and Theft. But this performance was terrible.

"My Daddy he said.....he said so MANY things...."

As I recall from my historical research, Dylan actually had a fever on this day which might have accounted for his higher-than-usual nasally vocal. Yet, I enjoy it. :)
