Hundreds of thousands of people took Metrorail and Metrobus to President Barack Obama's Inauguration.

  • And as for the crowds at L'Enfant Plaza, it literally took 45 minutes to get out of that station -- at 4:30 AM in the morning! I can only imagine what it was like later on.

  • Agreed, I was there at Crystal City station going to L'Enfant Plaza. At 4 AM the station was packed, and the first two Yellow line trains were already full to capacity with absolutely no room to get on; the latter trains had some squeezing room but not for long! The poor train drivers had to attempt to close the doors like five times or more at each stop to get people out of the doorways.

    The crowds on inauguration were WAY more than that. This video deff does not give it justice.

  • Funny, they mention of service cuts the very next week after the inauguration.
